Double celebrations were in order as not only did we celebrating 45 years of Torbay Hospital Radio in February, but we also launched FM.
That’s right, not only can you listen to us via the website and Alexa, but those of you working or staying in Torbay Hospital can now tune in via 95.9 FM.
This is a great milestone as the last few years with the pandemic and the retirement of the bedside systems made it a lot harder for us to reach our core listeners – the patients and staff of Torbay Hospital. Particularly those who are elderly or don’t have access to smart devices. Our next goal is to get mini radios to share with wards so everyone has the chance to tune in. To celebrate the launch and our 45th birthday, we had a full schedule of shows which started with Jordan from 9 am.

At the moment, if you’re a Co-Op member and shop at either the Shiphay, Roundhall, Chelston or Kingskerwell stores and choose us as your chosen charity, we’ll get a donation too.
