Torbay Hospital is a charity and therefore relies on the kind donations, grants and sponsorship from individuals and organisations.
This funding goes towards the running of the charity – the studio, equipment, licensing, and radios for the patients.
When it comes to sponsorship organisations can sponsor our news, weather, individual shows or the station as a whole. The news for instance plays every hour 24/7 and is a great opportunity to get the organisation’s brand out to the listeners.
Introducing our New News Sponsor
We are very grateful and happy to announce that Services Design Solution is our new News Sponsor.
Services Design Solution is a construction consultancy specialising in sustainability and building services. They design innovative, flexible, energy-efficient functional solutions for hospitals, schools, universities, public buildings, commercial and industrial projects creating exceptional environments for living, work or leisure, delivered to budget and programme.
Here’s what they have to say about supporting us: “We are delighted to support Torbay Hospital Radio, a vital aspect of the hospital that makes patient stays more bearable. Having delivered engineering consultancy as building services engineers for the Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, we try to celebrate all people who use and work with the Trust – whether that’s through our gold sponsorship of the Trust’s ‘Our People’ Awards, honouring the dedicated staff who go the extra mile for patients, donating art activity cases to the Louisa Cary ward to give a distraction for those children who may find their time in hospital somewhat scary.
Our business is proud to donate 1% of annual turnover to local charities and community projects – it’s part of our mission. In Torbay, we’ve also donated over 270 sanitary products to the women’s centre via The Hygiene Bank, sponsored drowning prevention lessons with Above Water for around 500 children, and subsidised wheelchair-friendly boat trips for 30-40 local people with Wetwheels Torbay CIC.
On an ongoing basis, it’s important to us that we support intergenerational wellbeing hence our monthly sponsorship of Ellacombe Community Garden.”
