Life Care Radio has been providing high-quality, engaging radio broadcasts to those in long-term care settings across the Torbay and South Devon area. Established to help combat feelings of loneliness and isolation, the station offers a comforting mix of music, request shows, and conversation designed to uplift and entertain. Over the years, Life Care Radio has become an integral part of many care facilities, offering a personalized service that brings joy to patients, residents, and staff alike.
On 7th September 2024, Life Care Radio officially joined the Torbay Hospital Radio family. This merger allows us to share resources and expertise with the wider team, helping to ensure that our listeners continue receiving the very best in community-based hospital broadcasting. Despite this integration, Life Care Radio remains committed to its founding principles and will continue to operate under the same name. Our service and mission to support the well-being of those in care remain unchanged, and we are excited to continue delivering the heartfelt programming our audience knows and loves.
With a dedicated team of volunteers, Life Care Radio continues to provide an essential service to nursing homes, residential care facilities, and hospices. Whether through music, inspiring stories, or one-to-one listener engagement, we aim to enrich the lives of our listeners every day. We look forward to many more years of serving the community under Life Care Radio, working together with Torbay and South Devon Hospital Radio to broaden our impact.
